CongrCrewZ is an Artist who now considers himself a 'Cosmic Rapper' in terms of music. His parents are of Colombian descent, although CrewZ was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He moved to South Florida in the middle of his junior year of high school. At that time he was in a Hip-Hop crew called 'Jay-Dk' consisting of his friends and cousins. His move down south forced him to become a solo artist and explore new aspects of himself to create new music. At 18, CrewZ was introduced to the practice of meditation which he claims "raised the frequency of his intelligence" which affected his style of rapping and exposed him to new subject matters to write about. His goal is to introduce to the world a new wave of Hip-Hop he calls Awareness Rap. CrewZ defines this genre of music as "Expressing what you know to be of beneficial growth to human consciousness into a unique rhythmic flow". The foundation of this genre is based off of unity, compassion and unconditional love. CrewZ is determined to show the world just how beneficial this type of rapping can become to the human mind. CrewZ feels as the collective consciousness of humanity continues to evolve toward a more positive and truth seeking type of world, Awareness Rap fits perfectly for those who love and enjoy the style and culture of Hip-Hop. Music Award Nominee. What's this item about?Jackson Turner aka Heretic is a hip-hop artist from NYC. He is currently represented by Pantheon Elite Records. Jackson has been rhyming and performing since he was 15 years old. He has worked with artists such as Natural Born Spitters (N.B.S.), Donny Arcade, Apex Zero, Lisa Rowe, and The Shaggers. He has appeared in various magazines such as I Am Hip-Hop Magazine (London) and Elle Man (Shanghai). Jackson released his first album “The Foundation EP” in 2015. For this project, Jackson collaborated with Jewell Fortenberry and Soulspeak, as well as having features from the German artist Lisa Rowe and French reggae General Huge. The album reached as high as number 4 on the national hip-hop charts for CMJ radio in the US; and number 2 on the national hip-hop charts for !Earshot radio in Canada. The video with Lisa Rowe, “New Beginnings” received much attention in the US, appearing across the country on Bongo Boy TV and Indimusic TV. In 2017, Jackson released his second solo album “Long Time Coming” under Pantheon Elite Records. The album focuses on Jackson’s experiences growing up in NYC and the personal and political views he developed as a result of these experiences. It was titled “Long Time Coming” because it was a culmination of almost ten years of musical and artistic development. The album includes features from N.B.S., Donny Arcade, Apex Zero and more.
